I really appreciate your putting the oven temperature in both Fahrenheit and Centigrade. I never worried about it in the US. However, my stove here in Panama is in centigrade and all my recipes from the US are in Fahrenheit.

Good morning Don! you are giving me a great idea, from now on I will put both F and C. Do you have a Mabe stove?

Yes I do have Mabe. I love the stove, but wasn't aware that its temperature scale was in Centigrade. Luckily, I have a conversion program in my Palm Pilot.

I have a beautiful Mabe stove and oven in my home in Bucerais Mexico. However I am not fluent in Spanish and neither are my renters, and my manual is in Spanish of course.

Does anyone know where I can go to download an English Manual? I have model # X05500C

Good morning Sandi! I am afraid I have not seen a Mabe manual in English, BUT if I find or see one I will let you know. Thanks for your visit and Happy Holidays :)

I will definitely be trying this recipe and so will my mom. Will let you know how it turns out. Hmm Yummy

I, also, just purchased a Mabe stove in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. My oven only has numbers from 1 to 5. I looked for a model with both, but couldn't find one quickly and needed the stove. The stove is a mess. The oven takes an hour to get to 375F because of not fitting correctly. The store sent out technicians a week ago (4 days after I had it) and still I have not had the stove exchanged. The store now tells me the 'report' can't be found. The men that were here said it definitly needed to be exchanged. I had a La Cross ( I think it was spelled that way ) for 18 yrs before it had to be replaced and it had both C & F on the oven. I switched to Mabe this time because everyone said their product was superior. I can't believe I'm the only one to get a 'lemon'. I certainly will not recommend this brand again.
2 weeks of long distance phone calls has proced no results. I'm very upset as I'm sure you can tell.

Happy Holidays Barbara! Hope your stove problems have been fixed by now. Hugs...

Hey! Guys don't despair if you purchased a Mabe or what we call in our country of Belize (MayBe) stove, you have something good the only problem is that the site only has manuals in Sapnish, if it is purchased in Mexico.

But if you get a spanish/english - english/spanish dictionary and donwload the pdf manual from the mabe website you may be able to make some sense out of it.

http://www.mabe.com.mx/MABE/default.asp

go to "estufas", click and choose "de piso" (floor models), choose the size (20, 24 or 30 inch model) click and look at the wide range and see if your model is pictured, click on the picture of your model (Note: to locate the model of your stove, pull the oven door and look just below the control panel (upper door lip) and you should see model and serial number, write it down. compare it with the model, after your have found the model, click and a larger illustration of the stove will be shown and on the upper right hand corner of the illustration, you will see the following

instructivos | dónde comprar | recomendar | imprimir

click on the instructivos and choose the model of the PDF document, you wish to download and save to desktop or my documents folder.

Hope that this will help.

Bye! Tony, Belize C.A. Happy Cookin.

GREAT! thank you for the info :)

Help please... I bought a stoven mod. XO5500H but I don't have the manual and its not avalible en MABE web page, could someone helpme to find this manuals

Thanks in advance

Juan Diego

We have a Mabe stove but it only has one rack in the oven and my wife does a lot of baking. Any idea where I can order a second rack? The store where it was purchased "doesn't know how" and I can find anywhere online to do so. Any ideas?
