2007 Bloggies: The Cooking Diva Wins Best Latin American Weblog!

The 2007 Weblog Awards were presented at the South by Southwest Conference yesterday in Austin, Texas, and The Cooking Diva walked away with one Bloggie: Best Latin American Weblog!

We would like to thank all the wonderful friends and readers who voted for us. It is a great honor to accept this Weblog award two years in a row! Muchas Gracias!

The 2007 Bloggies: A finalist!

Last night we found out that the Cooking Diva is again, one of the five finalists for the "Best Latin American Weblog" category of the 2007 Bloggies Awards.

Do you remember last March, while I was traveling through the Ecuadorean Andes, and the 2006 Bloggies winners were announced?  I had no clue of what was going on because the Internet service was somehow "lethargic and slow" along the little towns we visited. Then, my mailbox ended packed in a few hours with e-mails from friends and readers, telling me about the news: We had won the "Best Latin American Weblog" category. Wow!

...AND, I say "We" because we all made that possible. Our readers and friends are the inspiration for what I write, and the never ending motivation to share our adventures through Latin America and other parts of the world. So, I say thank you one more time for making the Cooking Diva a finalist of the 2007 Bloggies!

2006 Bloggies: Best Latin American Weblog

The Bloggies Winners 2006 have been announced .

We live an era of globalization. Times when love, as well as the economy and politics, are becoming a complete revolution. There are no taboos to judge this or that style. The obsolete beliefs regarding our ethnic origins, sex, religion, countries, likes and dislikes, become a wide spectrum of diversity and universality.

Let's seek together, the universal cuisine of love. A sensual cuisine that marry our traditions, science, modern tendencies, and even technology. Let's do that together, let's leave our hunger for love and peace, nourish our bodies with the best food that we have ever cooked.

Come on, do not be shy! We will be with you all the way to share our knowledge, ideas, adventures, and secret recipes...of course.

Thank you my dear friends and readers for your unconditional support. Thank you also for helping me to open my eyes, understand and see the world the way you do it. That is very important to me.

I am happy, really happy for this award. I proudly accept it and share it with all the bloggers from Latin America and the whole world, specially the ones that work hard every day to be a window to their countries, their passions, and why not...their obsessions.

2006 Bloggie Awards: We are Finalists!

We just received an e-mail from Nikolai Nolan to inform us that "The Cooking Diva" is a finalist in the "Best Latin American Blog" category. All I have to say is that I am really surprised, happy, and thankful to those of you who nominated this blog. Your daily support motivate us greatly to get out of the kitchen and blog about our creations and findings, and the most important thing: share our Latino culture, infecting the rest of the world with the magic and spirit from the tropics.

Voting is now open! Head over to the voting room and support your favorite blogs from all over the world that are finalists in thirty different categories.
